こんにちは!
I was going to write this whole thing in Japanese… but… that would take a bit more time than I have
So what’s new in my world? Not too much really, we moved into our house, and we have really begun to “Japanify” it.
We have our short dining room table, and our floor cushions, and we even fly the Japanese flag outside ^.^ I have really started to get serious about my Japanese too. I’ve set here for hours poring over books or websites trying to cram as much information into my head as possible! Sometimes I have problems remembering though
especially with new Kanji. I have two new online friends that I talk to who live in Japan! We will refer to them as T or K. T is male, K is female. I find it a little easier to talk to K since we have more in common, and she’s female and I find that I’m not as intimidated chatting with her.
I am wanting to write letters to my friends in Japanese and send them! I think it would be fun! I love getting mail no one uses old mail anymore, makes me sad.
Anywho… I STILL really miss Japan and I really would love to go back. We eat a lot of Japanese food here at the house too, I have learned to make a ton of recipes and I even have some of them memorized because I’ve made them so many times.
It’s been soooo long since I’ve posted…
Let’s see… Last February I had to go to the hospital and have surgery to have my gall-bladder removed. That was an experience… now I’m having other health issues that I won’t go into the details about (it can be rather graphic) but there’s a slight possibility that I might have to have surgery again. Although I don’t think it would be AS serious of surgery as before, hard to say really.
So Todd keeps mentioning moving to Florida again. I am really actually very excited to move, it’s just we have a few things that HAVE to be taken care of here first before we can do that. Although having the kids here with us now and all I’m so worn out all the time I don’t have ANY spare energy to do even the simplest of things. I don’t even have the energy right now to get up and do laundry, even though it’s piling up on me a bit. I only have a couple of hours before I have to go get Viv from school anyways and that’s really only enough time to do maybe two loads… I need a holiday…. BADLY…
We got a kitten! Her name is 紅葉(もみじ)or Momiji in English. ^^ I “rescued” her from a friend of mine who lives out of town on a farm. I say “rescue” because almost all of her brothers and sisters have passed on. :( poor kittens… how sad! She is doing very well, the only issue she really has is she bites.
She will see your toes from another room and just come out and full on attack them, or even just bite you anywhere for no reason in particular. Oh well maybe she’ll grow out of it… I can hope … right?
So Viv started first grade this week! She seems to really love it! I’m glad ^^ I went out the day before school started to get her a few school clothes and MAN… I have GOT to say… all the clothes they have for girls now are little hoochie mama whore outfits… I think LPS should go to FULL on uniforms. I hate the fact that so much focus is put on clothes and accessories and it takes away from the whole purpose of school in the first place. School is for learning, not for trying to one-up some other girl because her skirt is shorter and more frilly than yours. ¬.¬ Too many damn sequins and glitter and little mirrors or tassles or whatever… I do not approve. It’s okay to wear cute little frilly things around the house but school is not an appropriate setting for that. So I ended up buying her uniform clothes anyways… I could not stand those other outfits, and it’s far cheaper to just have one set of clothes you wear for school anyways. Then I don’t (or she doesn’t) have to think and worry about what she’s going to wear the next day, since her selection is limited. She hasn’t seemed to mind at all, and if she does, that’s too bad. She’s only 6 years old she can deal.
I’ve been spending my early mornings (from about 3a or 430a) at work and coming home and cleaning or doing laundry, or studying my Japanese. My schedule is pretty full, and I’m just worn out… like completely.
speaking of chores I have about a million things I should be doing right now… and I have only 2 hours before I have to go get vivien… I REALLY need to remember to post more!!
じゃ〜ね!
